We have had some questions around how to deal with variations within Aspect Finder+, you may find this article useful.

For example, when there is a Variation for e.g. Colour, Chest Size and Cup Size.

Within Aspect Finder+ you will see the Blue + button which opens up all the child SKU's related to that parent SKU.

On the parent SKU you will see ‘N/A – See Variation’ for any eBay item specifics used to define the variation:

In this example above, you are ONLY able to see Colour and Cup Size item specifics in the child product. Chest Size is a custom item specifics so it is not displayed in the Aspect Finder+ report, but will be included in the files if you choose to export.

When the child listings contain no item specifics that are affected by any mandates you will see the following when you click the Blue +

You can only revise item specifics of the Parent SKU as those in the Child SKU are used to create the variation so therefore you cannot amend those values. If you wish to revise or add any other Item Specific to the Child SKU you must create a new variation with the revised values.

The Child SKU values will not be updated when using any of the revise options in the Aspect Finder+ portal. When in-app revise functions are used you will see a warning message stating the limitations of the direct eBay amendment process.

Exports

You have a choice of a few export formats inside the category level view. On the report summary page you have the choice of more export formats. Changes made in the Aspect Finder+ portal will be shown in the exportable files, with the limitations listed below.

  1. Basic - This export will include all variations on any given listing.

  2. eBay File Exchange - This export will not include all child SKU variations, only the Parent SKU level. However the file will still update the listing accordingly without any issues.

  3. eBay MIP - This export will not include all child SKU variations, only the Parent SKU level. However the file will still update the listing accordingly without any issues.

  4. Magento - This export will include all variations on any given listing.
