Using the Optiseller Application

You must already have the product set up with some information in the Maropost back end before you can update any data on it using the Optiseller application.

Search by Product

Enter the SKU to find a specific product or enter some text that represents the products you are looking for, e.g., Nike, to bring back all your Nike products.

In the results found on the right of the screen, you will see if the product is live on eBay or not. With a ‘Listed’ / ‘Not Listed’ icon.

Search by Category

All your Maropost categories will be displayed here, simply select the category you would like to display, (note: you can use branch or leaf categories) and click ‘Get Products’ All the items in that category will be displayed on the right of the screen.

Editing Products

Once you have found the product that you would like to edit in the search screen, click on it (title) and a new tab will open with the product details shown.

Back – This button will take you back to the previous page.

Edit on Maropost – This button will take you to the selected product page on Maropost.

eBay Category Tool

Before we can start updating your listings to have the best possible data, we must first select the correct eBay category, enter a short description of your product e.g., Men’s Nike Trainers and click search.

From the dropdown select the category that best suits your product.

Note: the order of suggested categories is in order of confidence and sales, we think the best category for the product is at the top and as the list goes down the confidence drops.

Once you have selected a category you will see all the correct attributes listed for that product below. Some have been filled out and some need input, for best sales results fill all out if possible. Attributes with * next to them indicate mandatory fields for that category.

Important: The tool will return category suggestions and attributes from entering a few words into the search. For best results, enter in any GTIN (Barcode) and the tool will return much better results and suggestions.

Auto Suggested – Prefilled data suggesting a good result to use

Missing – Possible suggestions

No Suggestion – Other attributes you should fill in but no suggestion

No Action – Suggestion accepted

If we have some suggested aspects, they will show at the top of the list followed by all the other suggested eBay values. If you start to type in a value, that you think should be in that attribute, it will start to search the list for a matching suggestion. If the suggestion is not in the list, you can finish typing and hit enter, this will enter in your own user made value to send to eBay

Note: Use suggested eBay values whenever possible, this will give the best SEO and impressions in the eBay site.

Once you have completed the attributes and are happy with them, click save. You will see the ‘Maropost Product Specifics’ grey section on the right get populated. This is now populated in the Maropost page and the next time the eBay listing revision task runs, (this is typically every 15 minutes) the new category and attributes will be sent to eBay once this is complete.
